That's what you get for using old popcorn instead of diamond dust, I suppose.

I'm voting the initial dude was just trolling.

Possible but not really the only answer.

"Here is an extreme version of your viewpoint, look how ridiculous it is, we should all just ignore you." is fairly standard procedure for people who get upset about the concept of diversity in niche subcultures.

I mean look at his argument further down:

Actually, I know enough about intelligence testing to explain the differences between the G-scores, and I know enough about learning disabilities to have a conversation about IDEIA laws. I'm willing to bet you've never heard of them, which would make you the more ignorant of the two of us. And you really think I'm ignorant of the possible existence of any individual with whatever set of defined traits you choose?

Are you perhaps ignorant of the fact that you can already create whatever character you wish, and have his/her/its flaws represented by statistical systems already in place?

If he's trolling then it's pretty Poe. It just drips with the "I am the smartest. Everyone else is intellectually inferior to me!" attitude that, sadly, is really really common in the Pen and Paper set.

You are ignorant of the existences of fat charismatic lesbians.

I know this is fantasy and all, but come on. A fat, charismatic lesbian is a bit far fetched.

Rosie O'Donnell?

I don't think I'd follow Rosie into battle or anything.

Charisma measures more than just attractiveness. Winston Churchill, Louis CK, Voldemort, Jean Luc Picard, and Al Capone are all examples of non-attractive, charismatic people (Okay, Patrick Stewart is pretty good looking, but that's not why Picard is charismatic). They all have the ability to easily make people either love them or fear them, and most of them can command a room just by walking into it.

Okay Voldemort was attractive before going the whole "who needs a nose, really?" route, and then after he was super powerful and murdery. I don't think Voldemort can be counted as charismatic.

Oh I know, I never see any feminists though that are charismatic. They just get mad and shout at people.

Thanks for that. I was confused about what the drama was since you can be pretty much whatever you want to be in these types of games as long as you stay within the rules. Well the rules and what your GM will let you get away with.
