A user on /r/arma discovers something about BattleEye, a anti-cheating software used for Arma games. Another user who is also Community Manager for Bohemia Interactive shows up to talk about it. [Resubmit, because I borked the link]

PR rep used 'BE EULA... read it'!

It wasn't very effective.

PR rep used it again!

And again.

And again...

You'll find the answer in the BE EULA... read it.

Throwing legal threats around is only going to feed the pitchfork mob. You'd think that would be common sense about internet by now. Can't believe someone lacking such common sense is a community manager.

Would been way better to explain why and what that thing does, but I get the feeling they don't want to go into detail about how battleeye works... possible privacy intrusions and all. Hope we get to see a explanation from someone who isn't the community manager soonish.

How very true we ArmA players are a whiny bunch. bohoo why don't we get a smooth 60FPS with only 70 players (and probably around 300 AI). And BIS is normally pretty cool with what they do and on a human level it's understandable that he lost his cool but he shouldn't have as it's very unprofessional. But seriously, screw that hacker guy.

My greatest horror is hearing the announcement of ArmA4 and they say "This time around we'll have no mod support to mitigate the hacker-problem!"
