Side Quests Episodes 21-40 Discussion MEGATHREAD!!!
The last 20 episodes of season 1 (officially marketed as "Season 2") premiere 02 October at 12:00 AM PST/03:00 AM EST exclusively on Disney+/Hulu.
All 20 of the new episodes can be discussed in this megathread, but please keep discussion in the individual threads limited to the episode named in the thread title - if you want to include a comment about other episodes (I.e. "This bit in episode 25 reminds me of a bit that happens in episode 30"), remember to use spoiler tags so people can browse without risk of spoilers. Spoiler tags are NOT required in this megathread.

(stumbles into thread) I'm awake... I'm awake.... (just kidding, I've been out all day :p I'll get the thread links up in the OP in a mo)
Been thinking about SQ lately, since the first season premieres in the UK next week. I'm not the first person to say that SQ probably exists at least in part so there's a Kid-Friendly Adventure Time series going (when it was first announced, alongside all the other projects, it definitely looked like they were trying to make an AT for all age groups - Heyo BMO for the preschool crowd, SQ for little kids, the movie for older kids/families, and F&C for the adults. 'course idk if Heyo or the movie'll come out and we've got Bubbline The Series as the Adult AT now instead of F&C, but yeah) but I'm wondering if it's also in part to have something they can air internationally?? how to phrase it succinctly... Like, F&C never aired in the UK. It is on our version of HBO Max now (at least s1 is, idk about s2) - HBO Max only got a UK feed this year - but obviously being an adult show, it so never aired on CN UK which is strictly a children's channel. I imagine the same went for a lot of other countries too? And CN seem to want to keep AT as one of their main/flagship IPs... so I wonder if that's another reason why they wanted another AT show aimed at kids, to have one that would have little/no problems airing internationally? idk if I'm explaining this well. Just something that's been on my mind lately.
Looking through the credits of these eps, I'm struck by how most of them are just F&J and BMO with maybe one or two other pals. It all feels very small, somehow, compared to the original show.

I quite like this show for what it is but “Tiny Adventure Time” is literally what Adam Muto prophesized about the inevitable future rebooted iteration of the show existing simply because of the recognizability of the characters as the blue thing the pink thing and the yellow thing 😭

Season premiere is pretty great. Guest animated episode thats kind of a mix between the og shows style and SQs style, I dig it a lot. It looks like it was fully animated by the board artists K Pakiz and Matthew Yang, making it potentially the first ever Cartoon Network production that was technically fully animated in-house? Would love if SQ did more experimental stuff like this.

I really didn't care for season 1 but season two is way better. It actually feels like AT

Please comment in whichever thread you feel is most appropriate, but be aware that duplicate comments will be removed!
