There are many, many responses elaborating his position and seeing lots of tempers and downvotes. Thought you guys might enjoy this.
By the way, I don't mean to trivialize the man's death. It's an awful tragedy. This odd bit of drama just stuck out to me.

Beat me by two minutes!
I love this drama. Apparently his idea of showing respect for someone's passing is shitting up a forum with a meaningless discussion.
Unstoppable contrariness.
My title was going to be that people can't stop talking about a moment of silence.
Edit: Also, Shane del Rosario isn't dead yet, but it really doesn't look good. In case anyone was curious.

Ha! Much more clever than mine.
This is prime drama. I think ChipChase is a decent dude and generally offers good MMA insight. I have no idea why he's decided to make like 20 comments arguing against a moment of silence for a just-deceased fighter. Bewildering. I can't even think of something less offensive than taking a moment to think about a dead person.

He's acting like the whole world is required to be silent.
Like, is he gonna be at the event? If not, nobody will care.

There's definitely no net loss for society.
That's a rather harsh statement. I would hope a person's worth to society is not solely defined by their current occupation. Jesse Ventura may like to have a few words with you, should you not reconsider.

I've butted heads with this guy in r/newzealand. He's an antagonising dickhead.
