Jacob listening in horror to the Fall Out Boy tantrum through the door 😂

IT’S ALWAYS GODDAMN FALL OUT BOY

u/Emolgad Jul 13 '25
Will someone remind me at what other point Fall Out Boy screwed over the gang?

Dennis’s AP Bio expertise coming in clutch.

u/theme69 Jul 10 '25
It’s funny that he references Walter white after they just had an episode mistaking Aaron Paul for Frankie munez and not acknowledging breaking bad at all

u/BloatedSnake430 Jul 11 '25
That actually makes it funnier to me, if they've watched all of Breaking Bad but somehow it doesn't click in their heads that Bryan Cranston is anything but the Malcolm in the Middle dad.

A wizard did it. But canon-wise I could see Dennis pretending to not know him as a power play.

Also in the series breaking bad there was a scientist who actually made coffee with a chemistry set up.

Maybe that's the differentiator between reality and the sunny universe. bryan cranston isn't walter white

u/V1rtua_Ben Jul 10 '25
I really enjoyed that show. Gave me subtle “School of Rock” vibes.
As for this episode…not digging it at all. Sorry to be a Debbie downer.

Agree. Loved AP Bio. This is the worst episode of Sunny. That's fine though. Every show has a worst episode.

u/Zillafan2010 Jul 10 '25
Long running show law dictates that every new episode must be the worst episode. I would know, I am an expert in bird law

you must not be a fan of Abbott Elementary or you would actually really appreciate this episode. I mean come on, how was the boy band audition scene not funny to you?

Doing a Blind Side on a kid that’s actually blind in one eye lol
This show.

No one correcting Jacob for weeks about it being a basketball recruitment pitch and not trafficking the kids in the school was hilarious too, glad they made time to try and include all the cast for the crossovers even if some of them had to only have a few moments on-screen for time.

Mr. Johnson barely got to do anything.
I’d at least expect him to get in on the 9/11 conspiracy talk.
64
u/nthan333 Jul 10 '25
Yeah it's such a lot of people to work with I expected one or two of them would move to background character from a main plot on the Abbot episode. Now that you mention it I'd say youre right Mr Johnson was the one with the least screen time this go around. It's a shame, but that's the downside of the 30 minute runtime
32
u/grl_e_grl Jul 10 '25
I can see him not because he hated Frank. And he may have been distracted with that raccoon situation.
5
u/grl_e_grl Jul 10 '25
Dennis was barely in the Abbott episode. I had to rewatch it because I only remembered him in the opening.
13
u/OctagonCosplay Jul 11 '25
I wish they would’ve let him chime in on 9/11 only to beep the whole thing. He’d say some shit even FX couldn’t show.
10
u/yajtraus Jul 10 '25
I don’t remember Barb doing anything at all other than singing
29
u/finalthunder526 Jul 10 '25
She had one talking head moment describing how she had never experienced a tantrum this long from her years teaching primary school lmao
11
u/sof49er Jul 10 '25
That was the same thought in the Abbott episode. I agree. I am glad everyone was sprinkled in. That's a huge cast when you consider both shows. :)

u/dexter30 Jul 10 '25
And I love how Ava closest to them ideologically. Saved money on replacing pipes, finding the blue chip talent students to blindside etc.
She's like the perfect bridge between sunny and abbott. Her cartoon level shenanigans are completely IASIP coded.
118
u/Galileo908 Jul 10 '25
She wanted to frame them for some other crime to keep them around longer! There aren’t many non-gang characters that are that unhinged.
44
u/Ufocola Jul 11 '25
After Ava it’s Melissa, and I was kinda disappointed she didn’t interact with the gang more
36
u/Galileo908 Jul 11 '25
There’s a whole unseen episode where she went to Paddy’s and got grossed out by it.
13
21
u/AlvinTaco Jul 11 '25
Ava is who the gang aspire to be. She’s always scheming, but unlike them her schemes always work.

u/Researcher_Saya Jul 12 '25
I didn't know this was another show at all. I fell in love with Ava because she was so.... Gang-flavored. Guess I'll check out this show now

WE HAD AN AGREEMENT TO NEVER FORGET
174
u/nubbynickers Jul 11 '25
That bit was great. I loved the initial passion they had at the beginning of lunch.
142
u/sandwiches_please Jul 11 '25
And by the end of it they had swung so far to the other end of the spectrum that they were questioning whether or not the Towers even really existed.
85
u/RattigansGhost Jul 11 '25
I was literally in tears when Charlie said he wasnt sure if there were really towers. I had to pause the ep nc I was cracking up for so long.

The way Glenn delivers that line was so good! Up there with “TWO wars?”
7
u/narfarnst Jul 12 '25
I think his acting talent goes under the radar for most people, but he's actually really good.
I also loved towards the start of the episode where he's complaining to Mr. Johnson about the coffee pot and he sounds just the right amount of being extra annoying while complaining.

Followed immediately by "I guess it had to be a hoax" god, I love this show 😂

u/Sleepy_cheetah Aug 22 '25
I'm just gonna say it. That was the funniest, most ridiculous part & I loved it. I need to see the episode again. I was...um..in an altered state.

u/AntRose104 Jul 10 '25
I love that Dennis spent the week just doing random shit at the school without anyone knowing

187
u/itsyagirlrey Jul 10 '25
I fully expected him to accidentally poison everyone with the coffee since he made it with supplies from the science lab
25
u/Trynottospoil Jul 10 '25
Or roofie the coffee.

u/Dull-Scientist8039 Jul 11 '25

u/ShiaLeboufsPetDragon Jul 10 '25
He’s obviously good at carrying out activities without anyone knowing
33
u/Trynottospoil Jul 10 '25
I was like what the hell was in that coffee. I’m kind disappointed we didn’t find out that Dennis slipped it was some types of drug or laxative. But maybe he was just selfish because he wanted good coffee himself.

The price of copper’s on the rise!

Yikes. That part hit close too home for me. I work at a school and our copper wiring was stolen. We had no electricity in the entire school. 😩

It’s funny because there’s some truth to it. Black people do not get lice. We can’t because of hair products we use to keep our hair healthy. But if you crusty, you can get them.
10
Jul 13 '25
Black people can absolutely get lice. It might be less common because of the hair type and "product" but blacks absolutely can and do get lice.

The escalation was hilarious, I almost thought someone was going to turn around to shush them but I loved the route they went lmao going into conspiracy territory 😅

No. Janine wouldn’t unless attacked and it would have been a plot point (or hinted at) in the Abbott episode. Punching the locker and cursing is hella outta pocket for her.
