The total for Clark's shopping trip was $19.38. The year Action Comics #1 debuted.

The only thing about this season that's being bugging me is this relationship between Luthor and Amanda. They haven't explained at all why she's so into him and it kind of feels weird

They had to write Sophie out this week otherwise Otis would've been splattered on the wall.
-
Coach Gaines is back for another episode and it was beautiful.
-
Clark's having a mid-life crisis was a really funny side-plot
-
So everyone and their cousin in Smallville knows Clark's secret now.
-
Thought this was a nice episode for both the twins. They both need to find the right balance.
-
This version of Lex is definitely more brawn than brains. He goes to fight Superman and doesn't even bother carrying Kryptonite or that sonic device he used on Jordan. Dude is living on plot armor alone.
-
This was a really nice way to write Sarah off the show, she's been wanting to leave Smallville since the pilot and finally got to live out her dream. Hope she enjoys her year studying abroad and doesn't come back with an evil witch tattoo.

Coach Gaines sure did have a change of heart about “QB 2” and “Shortstack”. Gaines is still an asshole.

So glad Clark beat Lex. I would’ve been so annoyed if Lex won

Angry Clark, the lights, the fight. I wasn't expecting any of it, but I wasn't the least bit disappointed. That was fantastic.

If there's one thing I will miss the most about this show, it's watching Tyler Hoechlin's Superman go into angry dad mode.
Also, if he's getting a makeover, what are the odds of Amanda convincing Lex to finally shave?

Great episode. And oh my... They're actually gonna do the green and purple Warsuit lol. Kinda crazy how it's never been done before in live action.

When the Lights Come On is when Superman delivers the beatdown. That was such a solid scene from start to finish. Hoechlin's roar, Lex's trap, the rain and thunder, just how ugly both men got, Lex getting the last laugh. Will always love that this show displayed Clark's combat skills, that a depowered Supes is still very dangerous. Really gonna miss this show.

- Tyler as Clark is so endearing. I'm going to miss him.
- I've always wanted a Smallville that knows Clark is Superman and I'm slowly getting it. I just love the idea that everybody knows but keeps it on the down-low because of all the good he does. :')
- I don't really like the "biker gang leader" aesthetic of Luthor. I kinda wish he lost the beard.
- It's nice that Jordan's stopped moping around. I hope he and Jonathan start fightin' crime together.

Seeing as how Smallville is kinda figuring out Clark’s secret, I’d love if it ends up with them protecting him the same way New York protects Spider-Man
Also that was one of my favorite Superman fight scenes ever

Awesome episode. We seriously needed 3-4 more seasons of this show. THE INJUSTICE! UGHHHHHH. My grief and dissatisfaction is immense and will last for years. :'(
Worried about JHI and Nat next ep. Is he next on the chopping block???

And we're back after a weak episode last week - this one was a banger!
I love that we got to see Jonathan doing lots of super saves although I wish we could see one up close! But he was called Superboy lots of times so I'm very happy and his arc made sense here with stretching himself too far and then feeling bad for missing Lana's assault. But I'm glad the Jordan moping seems to be done and we got a Super Sons flying together moment - I loved that
Clark feeling old throughout the episode and then beating the ever loving shit out of Lex without any powers felt so good. He beat the crap out of those soldier guys back in season 2 with no powers too so this isn't unexpected but it was very cool in the rain and the thunder. I get why he stopped when he saw his family watching him though. My in-universe reason for why Lois didn't just have one of the boys lazer the red lights is that she wanted to see Clark COOK
Lana and Sarah were good in this episode too and Sarah even got a rescue in - I thought it was going to explain why she's missing in the next few episodes but then I remembered it's still summer but I guess they're just showing us what her 'happy ending' might be. And she see the boys any time she wants too.
The whole town knowing the secret and just being totally chill about it all is something I've sort of always wanted - Superman is the hometown hero and they'll have his back after everything he gave. But I hope it doesn't go outside of Smallville and is kept to the home community.

That fight scene was fucking awesome. I don't care what anyone says, Tyler is the best live-action Superman we've ever had.

Tyler Hoechlin was amazing this episode. Definitely deserves more recognition.

Oh, now I get it! Amanda McCoy is Lex Luthor’s brain!
Gotta say: I kinda loved the SuperTwin move of flying Sarah to the Greek Isles together!

Lana: You should study abroad, Sarah. We need to free up the budget even more for what's coming next.

I loved Clark going all out. It took a lot to push him, and that was exactly what Lex wanted. The red solar lamps were a surprise!

Ok but replacing all the streetlights on main Street with Superman depowerers was smart as hell. I mean lex still lost, but the setup was a good one

Clark calling out for Luthor in the middle of the street went so hard, like Laurie calling out Michael in H20, and Punisher shouting for Russo

I’m gonna say that that was some of the best Superman I’ve ever seen across all media. Just amazing! The final fight between Clark and Lex is going to be epic.

My biggest takeaway from this episode is that in another universe, Tyler Hoechlin would've made a good Batman.
